Canadian Contemporary Art - River Lewis Paintings 2011
" In 2011 landscapes are being simplified, and introduction of the twins into my paintings is forthcoming. One could interpret the applied paint like a magma reaching the surface of the canvas. Underlying themes are boiling up and cementing, constructing the setting where the twins will self-appoint beyond the concept of self-determination. They are beginning to understand the inescapable position they have always had with the universe. Words for the future, I hope you enjoy the paintings that will be posted on this page in 2011.
